Several times a year Paris washes over me. I miss the scenery and the quiet walks. I miss Seine and I even crave the food from my favorite restaurant Chez Prune along the Canal St. Martin. I haven’t been to Paris in a year and I have the itch and I have it bad. I’m debating about going in February as I’ve never been in the winter. Paris is just so lively and beautiful in late September when I’m usually there. I want to see it in the winter. I imagine that everything is crisp, perfect and grey. When I can’t make it to my favorite city in the world, I read about it. I recently read an awesome book, Paris I Love You But You’re Bringing Me Down by Rosecrans Balwin and I absolutely adored it. It was the perfect capture of Paris through an American’s eye and was witty and hilarious.

Another reason why I love Paris so much is because I’ve done some of my best writing there. My first Solo Trip to Paris evoked so many emotions and they all poured out of me. There’s nothing quite like traveling that inspires me. I make it my duty to create a visual picture so that readers can feel like they are right there with me. It’s one of the things I love to do, writing and traveling. So I guess it’s only natural that my baby, Fashion Steele NYC Review Magazine has evolved from just showcasing the cool shit that happened in this space this year to something more. I wanted it to be real. Real in the way that it covered more. More articles and more of what I would want to read. Even though it’s so much work turning basically a year review into something new, fresh and honest, I know it’s going to be amazing and so worth it. Working on my magazine gives me a sense of purpose. This is something I’ve always wanted to do and I’m doing it and it feels just like the first time I walked along the Seine. Or the first time I saw the Empire State Building. Don’t worry New York, you still have my heart.
I know I’ve said it a million times but if you haven’t had the chance to read last years issue please take a read Here and make sure to Subscribe to my Magazine Account to have the magazine at your fingertips anytime. I want you to really see the evolution between that and the next issue dropping January 1st and also to get your life.

Haha Thanks Vana! I must be doing my captions right then, lol. I’ve actually been working on writing them better so I’m glad to know its working. Love ya!
Aahhh love this look so much! I went to Paris last winter for the first time and even though it was crisp and perfect, even though a little chillier than I had expected. But it also was dark by like 4 pm which totally put a damper on my photo plans. Going to check out that book though – hope you get to take your trip soon!
I hadn’t even thought about it getting dark early. You re so right! Thank you!
Love this sporty, edgy look!
You look perf as always, loooove those boots, he styling with the jacket and hats, everything! I haven’t been to Paris yet but hopefully one day.
Thank you so much! And yes, Paris is always a good idea!
