Khaki Green + Orange Color Combination

I’ve been experimenting more with color combinations lately and my new favorite is Khaki Green and Orange. Mainly because my new favorite shoes, these orange No 21 mules, are begging to be worn with every outfit. I especially love how they really pop with a green. Hey, it’s not for everyone but I personally love a little character when it comes to dressing. It doesn’t have to match. Matching, can be do dull and overdone. I did post around not matching and mixing prints with florals to show just how cool and high fashion it can look, even when on a budget. The trick is to mix and match colors that compliment each other. I love Yellow/Green combinations, Yellow/Red combinations and Green/Orange combinations. I also love just wearing a bunch of neutrals from nudes, to whites and off-whites and metallics.

GET THE LOOK

If you follow me on snapchat: Monroesteele, you have seen this new Phillip Lim skirt that I recently bought from Lyst.com. If you don’t know about Lyst.com check out my post on Where you should be shopping. I pretty much stalked this skirt for 2.5 months until I finally got a notification that it was on sale for less than $100. If you snap me, you’ve also seen these wonderful shoulder duster earrings that I picked up from H&M last week. I’ve really gotten into statement earrings, since my hair is much shorter now that I’ve been rocking my afro. I’ve been shopping like a maniac preparing for Paris Fashion Week and don’t be surprised if you see this outfit in some way, shape or form again in Paris next month. This skirt is just too good and it’s my favorite color!

I hope you all are having a good week so far. It has been extremely hot and draining but the week is halfway over and I’m looking forward to the weekend.
