I am a bonafide shoe girl. I’ve always loved designer shoes and have been collecting them for over 10 years. I’ve never been much of a handbag girl until very recently. 2 years ago, I only had 1 luxury handbag and it was a vintage episode sac bag from Louis Vuitton that I scored from a seller on postmark for less than $500. I still have that bag till this day and it’s one of my prized possessions. As I left the corporate world of healthcare and shed my lab coat and scrubs for a life of full time fashion content creation, I’ve slowly become a handbag kinda gal. Since I’m pretty new to the handbag gang, I of course have the goods on the Top 7 Brands to Start Your Luxury Handbag Collection and most of these brand have bags under $1500! Make sure to bookmark this post when you’re ready to invest in your first luxury handbag or just looking to add a more affordable luxury handbag to your collection.
Gucci is a great array of handbags under $1500. What I love about Gucci is that the bags are very well made and built to last and it’s one of the most affordable luxury handbag brands today. They are always coming out with cool trendy styles as well as re-releasing their classics with a modern twist. There’s something for everyone and every kind of style from trendy to classic when it comes to Gucci handbags. I have a pretty big collection of Gucci handbags and most of them were under $2000. My favorites include this mini Gucci crescent bag, this classic globetrotter box bag with bamboo handle and of course the Gucci Horsebit for an everyday bag.
Jacquemus is definitely one of the hottest brands right now. Jacquemus is all about fun, color and standing out and it’s no different with their expansive collection of It Girl bags every season. I’ma actually surprised most Jacquemus bags are under $1000 considering how well made and coveted they are. I have a Grande Chiquito in Brown that I scored on sale at Shopbop as well as this newly dropped bag in Kelly Green and this bubblegum pink beauty. All of them were under $1000 and are some of the funnest bags I have in my collection.
With most of his bags under the $500 mark Brandon Blackwood is quickly becoming one of my favorite Black Luxury Handbag designers. His bags are very well made and I’m loving the unique styles. He has recently released a higher line of bags with more luxe materials and I’m here for it. The Bamboo collection happens to be my absolute favorite and I own this one in Brown! I’m still waiting to score a black one for my collection though and maybe even the Python as well.
Loewe is one of my favorite brands when it comes to accessories and I love their range of very affordable totes and bags that are perfect for a tropical vacation, beach day or warm weather climate. I have a basket bag from Loewe that’s the perfect beach bag. I also love that they come in a ton of sizes and fun Spring & Summer colors.
Chloé is another great luxury brand for amazing quality bags without the huge price tag. They always incorporate fun fabrics and styles that are classic yet fun. Chloé is all about femininity with a modern vibe.
Wandler is definitely one of my favorite brands when it comes to accessories. Their handbags are unique, well made and not so well known. The quality of their bags is incredible for their price too. I love that their bags are very classic but can easily be dressed down. If you have a more refined and classic style and aren’t into trends, definitely check out Wandler.
Jonathan Anderson has his own namesake British lane which is quirky and fun. I love that his handbags always feature some kind of fun design element like a thick chain or unique shape. JW Anderson happens to also be the creative director for Loewe, the Spanish brand I mention earlier with amazing feminine basket bags.
