Mango Mayhem: How I do an outfit post

For those of us who don’t have boyfriends as photographers (oh how I wish…) we usually have to rely on friend’s, family, the timer on our camera’s and ourselves. I’ve used all three as well as a hired photographer.
Today I thought I’d do something awesome and make a quick video of what all goes into my photo posts. It’s definitely not as easy as it looks. I hope you all enjoy the video, it includes some of my makeup tips, how and where I shoot my photos and how it all gets put together.

Outfit
Jacket: H&M
Cami: Forever 21
Skirt and Necklace: Mango, get the skirt HERE!!!!!!!
Wedges: DVF via Nordstroms Rack (one of my favorite boyfriends)
So this is the outfit I wore to the Nathaniel Paul Holiday Collection Event. I posted a few pictures but I wanted an in-depth look. When I saw this skirt at Mango during the
I almost died. I had to have it and thankfully it was 30% off! I scooped up this necklace as well which I used during the Mango Styling Contest that was judged by Zanna Roberts Rassi, Senior Fashion Editor of
Marie Claire.
I really had a lot of fun putting this video together. I hope it gives you all a little more insight into who I am and also how I tackle the issue of outfit post without a boyfriend or tripod. Haha.
So..quick question…how do you get your outfit post together and/or done????
XOXO

Love the video, I am amazed at how much you put into your posts. Damn! lol. J’adore your outfit – the play of colors are awesome. I know you were freezing your butt Sunday cuz it was cold as hell, but you make it look like its 80 degrees outside.

Great post! You’re so gorgeous even without makeup, and your makeup tips are great, I’ll definitely be using them! I don’t have a boyfriend to take my photos either, but I usually ask my friends and family or I just use my self timer haha

love the combination of the skirt and the jeans jacket. the skirt has the most interesting color. love the jacket because of the zippers and the light jeans color. fabulous with the bold necklace

Love the video idea. Love how your room was so neat and organized at the beginning then became a whirlwind after. When the BF does my shots, I usually will do two outfits at once (since I too have a full time job). If I do my own shots, I’ll do just one outfit becasue it’s sooo much work and can be very annoying and taxing. Which is why, unfort., I only post once or twice a week 🙁

Very cool video. I don’t have a BF either to take my photos, so tripod it is. You have a good friend to come that early to take your photos outside.
