Well Summer official ends on Friday. I am actually relieved. It’s been hella hot the last few days and my con edition electric bill had been taking all my extra shoe money the last 2 months. I think the older I get, the more I’m turning into a Fall person. Spring is okay, but it rains too much for my liking and I hate doing my hair only for it to turn into a giant poof because of the weather. I’m really getting into outerwear. I know, I know, I was that girl two years ago that hated outerwear, especially in the Winter. Come on, you all know there is no way to look even remotely cute in a big bubble coat. But I digress, Fall is pretty much here and I am accepting it with open arms. Rounding out a great Fall Wardrobe is easy as ever with brands like Zara, ASOS, & Other Stories and H&M providing just about every basic and those one off non basics that you need. A COZY KNIT
Wear it with a pair of mom jeans and an ankle boot. It’s The Look for Fall.
A SLEEK BLACK TURTLENECK
I love a good turtle it’s super chic with denim and with a great midi skirt.
A GOOD PAIR OF DEMIN JEANS
Need I say more? It’s cooling down and a great pair, or few pairs of denim jeans in the perfect cut go along way. I’d suggest a high waisted ankle tapered jean to show off your ankle boots.
THE PERFECT MIDI SKIRT
Even though it’s Fall and a little cooler you definitely need a great skirt that you can pair with a bootie and an oversized sweater. Or go with a turtle neck and rock it with a men’s inspired blazer (yeah they are back too with a vengeance).
A MENSWEAR INSPIRED OVERSIZED BLAZER
If you’ve been under a rock nearly every major designer had a mens inspired blazer on the runway last season and they just started to hit store shelves. Stock up beloveds this trend is gonna rock until 2018.
AN ANKLE DUSTING TRENCH COAT
The best alternative to anything with a feather inside of it. Layer over a large sweater or turtleneck for maximum warmth.
AN ANKLE BOOTIE
Why am I even writing something here? The ankle boot is THEE BOOT of the season. Get a great one is a neutral color and wear them with everything.
AN OVER THE KNEE BOOT
You can still rock your heavy mini skirts and not freeze to death. A win win situation especially if you’re dating this Winter. Every now and then you gotta take those stems for a spin even when there’s snow on the ground.
