You all know I love great ambience and I literally stumbled into 11 Howard a few weeks ago. 11 Howard is a 221 room Boutique Hotel in Soho. It’s on the chicest of streets and shares a zip code with Opening Ceremony, Reformation and Canal Street Market. All of which are amazing places to shop. I first noticed the spiral staircase from the outside while walking by and the huge black doors and friendly doorman. It was actually the doorman who encouraged me to come inside and take a look at the gorgeous design by Anda Andrei, 11 Howard’s Creative Director and the interior design by Space Copenhagen, a Danish interior design firm known for their minimalist work utilizing natural materials. I loved how clean the space was and I vowed to come back, when the weather warmed and in a proper look, to have a drink at The Blond, 11 Howard’s Bar and Lounge. Let’s just say I love everything about The Blond from the lush velvet chairs and couches to the amazing art work and sculptures.
11 Howard just celebrated their 1 year Anniversary this month and it doesn’t hurt that Rihanna reportedly lives in the area. This place is gold! If you’re looking for a bright, comfortable and quiet place to get your work done or even have an informal meeting, The Library at 11 Howard is the perfect place to do so. The ambience is wonderful and the service is impeccable and that’s only from me visiting the library and the blond. 11 Howard gives a portion of room rates from their site to The Global Poverty Project to help fight poverty & equality around the world. I think this speaks to the kindness and hospitality of 11 Howard as a brand. In May, 11 Howard will be celebrating NYC x Design Month and will have a special promotion for those visiting the hotel between May 3rd – May 24th with VIP Status at the hotel, a special welcome amenity and a Guided Art Tour of the property.
