Accessories take a look from basic to chic

Sometimes, a look is about the look but more times than not it’s the accessories that take a look to the next level. That’s pretty much why I invest in unique and quirky footwear like these No 21 mules that I caught on sale. I can’t even tell you how many women and men a like stop me on the street to get the deets on these beauties. They were definitely worth the little over $200 that I paid for them. People may say that’s too much for a shoe, but I say you can spend $80 on 3 pair of mediocre shoes that will fall apart after a years wear, or you can save up and invest in a pair you will cherish and that will stand the test of time. Any outfit can be taken from basic to chic with a great shoe and fire flame emoji accessories. Would you believe me if I told you my actual outfit cost all of $38. Seriously this white flounce top was $12 and this awesome denim skirt was $26.

Speaking of great accessories, I am a huge fan of Sex and the City. Honestly that show, along with the movie Brown Sugar, played a large role in my desire to move to New York City and be a writer. Although I ended up being a physical therapist, I still get to write..right here. But back to SATC, I adored Carrie’s Carrie necklace. Hell that necklace spawned the name The Carrie Necklace and although I always wanted one I could never find the perfect one until recently when I was contacted by Onecklace.com.
