It’s the middle of Winter, but I am still all about showing a little skin. I can’t help it. I really hate Winter and most Winter wear which is when layering becomes something of an art form. There are a few essentials needed to accomplish a layered look when its 37 degrees outside: A scarf, a cape, a knit sweater and thigh high boots and socks. Voila…I am warm, at least warm enough to wait the 5 minutes it will take me to hail a cab or walk to the train.

These boots are super comfortable and the best part is that they are custom. At Duo boots you can customize the calf size. So these boots are perfect for people with larger or smaller calf sizes who have difficulty finding high boots that fit well. I’m getting more into capes being that I pretty much hate bubble coats. Yes I will wear one but only for work and only if it’s absolutely imperative that I do so I don’t freeze to death. A cape is a great layering piece to throw on over an oversized sweater or even over a light leather jacket. When it comes to being Winter cute…it’s all about layering…or tech fleece Nike sweatsuits which I plan on investing in, in the very near future.
