Today was pretty awesome and for starters it was the sheer excitement of attending the Jimmy Choo SS 2015 Presentation. I nearly died when I got to my rented apartment in Milan and my host handed me an entire stack of mail…and one of the thick envelopes said JIMMY CHOO in thin gold letters. I mean…Jimmy CHOO! I broke into a dance and I’m pretty sure my Italian host thinks I’m insane…but hey when you get something as good as that..it deserves a praise dance. There is this one pair of Jimmy Choo’s  elaphe lace up tassel sandals that I always regretted not buying and now I scour the net for them every month. Then there’s the Jimmy Choo Iris Woven Leather Sandals that sold out so quick…i never had a chance with my huge feet! But now you see my obsession with Jimmy Choo and I vow to own a pair in the next year or so! Anywho, the thick and colorful invitation suggested that the collection would be bold and abstract and thats exactly what it was! The collection was actually inspired by artist Hilma af Klimt and was a take on tribal ethnicity.

Stepping out of the cab we were greeted by a white and black stripped carpet (My favorite combination and fitting since I wore a stripped top and checkered shoes!), and into a clean white space filled with abstract areas where the shoes (the amazing shoes!) were set up. The venue was bright and wide and the shoes plentiful. My favorite were among a black and white combination with zebra print, a pair of pointy toed gold scaled flats, a snake skin and cheetah print bag and a spiked box clutch that could double as a weapon.

The crowd was fashionable and chic. When Anna Della Russo whisked by in a pale blush number and fuzzy black oversized bag…I felt I was surely where I needed to be. Guest dinned on quail eggs and cucumber and lemon flavored water. I was photographed by Katya Klimova, a blonde haired beauty in a white maxi dress and sneakers. I later found out she is the fashion director of Glamour Magazine Russia. I also sat on the plush retro couches and chatted with a fellow with the hottest polka dot Nikes I’d ever seen and leather pants. Turns out he owns several Jimmy Choo stores in Asia. Needless to say…it was one hell of a party and the amazing tribal inspired shoes were just the icing on a very delicious cake. Bravo to creative director Sandra Choi!

What do you think of the Jimmy Choo SS 2015 Collection?
