What to Wear for the Holidays

With Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas and New Years in the next 7 weeks its time to get ready for all those holiday parties and events. This is the perfect time to start scouting the perfect holiday ensembles.

Thanksgiving Looks

For Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving gatherings I like to keep it classic but simple. I usually go with a skirt, heel, moto jacket look. I like pairing a dramatic skirt with a plain or screen print tee. Lets face it you are probably gonna spill some gravy on yourself at some point anyway so don’t wear anything that you can’t stand staining. I like just one element of the outfit to be festive and dramatic and I tone the rest of the outfit down since its more or a relaxed let’s stuff our faces holiday.

Christmas and New Years Looks

For Christmas or New Years parties I always go with sequins. Really its kinda the only time you can go all out with a bold sequin look without hurting peoples eyes. I love a great short sequin dress or sequin pant that I can throw a sharp black blazer over. I love a long blazer with a short dress that are both the same length. Its a classic holiday look.

Holiday Shoes

I like to go for a sturdy boot for Thanksgiving and Holiday Parties, but for New Years I like to go with a sandal or heel.

Holiday Makeup

I love to be bold with makeup during the holidays. You can almost always catch me in a red lipstick or a vampy purple. My all time favorites are Stila Fiery Lipstain because it will last all night and even through a Thanksgiving meal and the Nars Train Bleu lip pencil because its matte and the darkest shade ever without being black. Sometimes a nice nude goes a long way as well if you do a lot with the eyes.

Holiday Accessories

Nothing like a great accessory to top off your holiday look!
