The Floral + Multicolored Dress

I’m a sucker for a colorful dress. I like to make a scene especially in spring and summer with color. Trust me it’s a welcome change for the hordes of black and grey we see all winter here in New York City. A good floral dress is a must and veteran designers like Mara Hoffman and Rachel Comey are always my go-to for unique colorful dresses. Make sure to check out Rent The Runway too because they have the best designer dresses (literally this seasons hottest dresses) for a fraction of the cost.

The Slip Dress

Y’all know the slip dress is my all time favorite dress and I where them year round, even in the winter with some clever layering. Slip dresses are effortlessly chic and subtly sensual. I love a good slip dress in satin and especially silk. It just feels good against your skin and you can dress them up with scrappy sandals or down with a pair of comfy sneakers. See how I styled a slip dress 3 ways here.

The Solid Primary Color Dress

Primary colors are so in right now from the perfect green to the pinkest pink. I usually don’t go for primary colors but lately it’s been my go-to to make a fashion statement. I recently wore this form fitting Kelly Green Dress and people went wild for it! It’s actually on sale for less than $30 at Uniqlo so hurry and get it before it sells out again.

The Perfect Vacation Dress

The perfect vacation dress is easy breezy. It doesn’t wrinkle you can throw it in your suitcase and it will be just fine. The perfect vacation dress is cozy yet chic and most of the time it’s linen. Just saying…linen is he fabric of a good vacay.

Which dress is your go-to for Spring & Summer?

I like a style that flows, preferably in linen. At first glance, l didn’t care for the yellow dress, but after looking closer, it has grown on me.

I love the slip dress. I own a few but haven’t had a chance to wear them all. They can appear very dressy because of the sheen in the material but I think this week I will wear one on a date and pair them with my fave sneakers (the sorels that you and I have :)) and maybe a denim jacket. What do you think?

YAS, i think that’d be super cute. I don’t think that’d be too dressy at all.
