7 Under-the-Radar Online Shops to Break You Out of a Style Rut

[one_half padding=”0 15px 0 0″]I love shopping and do it on a very regular basis. Just take a look at my recent Black Friday/Cyber Monday Sale shopping haul video to get a feel for just how much I love a good bargain. I actually went shopping yesterday. I stopped in at & Other Stories which is one of my favorite places to shop (where I got this snake print skirt and my 2 pair of these mom jeans that I wear to death). I was looking for this skirt in my size but they didn’t have it. It’s the perfect skirt for a New Years Eve Party or Holiday Party in general. Look…if they have it in your size, get it so I can live vicariously through you. Wear it with a rocker tee, a leather jacket and some sky high black boots. After I left & Other Stories, I popped into Saks and OMG.[/one_half][one_half_last padding=”0 0 0 15px”]I almost spent a grip of money on this Jacquemus skirt marked down 75% along with this Tibi Skirt. I restrained myself and made my way to Bergdorfs where I tried on a pair of Chanel Mules (just like these that I have in black but the camel/black version). Boo….they were too small but if you are looking for those Bergdorfs does have them and for a cool $900 they can be yours. Feeling defeated, I left Bergdorfs and walked over to Barneys. Why God? Why did I go into Barneys? Their shoe sale is the stuff dreams are made of but alas I have entirely too many pairs of shoes. So I bought a Sies Marjan skirt (I wish they had these shoes in my size) and this slip dress. Just a quick note, the sales in store are about 10-15% better than they are online.[/one_half_last]

With much shopping comes much responsibility and that is:  DONT BUY THE SAME THING EVERYONE HAS. Now, sometimes it’s inevitable. When something is just too good, you just have to buy it! Like this satin yellow dress from Zara. I know everyone has it but it’s too good and I don’t care. But sometimes you just want something a little more exclusive that won’t have you skipping meals because of the price tag. When I have those moments, I visit a few of my favorite little known places online. Oh sure, they are KNOWN but only to the people who need to know about them. These shops don’t do a lot of excessive marketing. They don’t have a store on every corner like Starbucks and their inventory is heavily curated. So I’m gonna go ahead and spill the tea on my favorite places to shop that aren’t so well known. But look…like I said previously, with much shopping comes much responsibility. Handle this information with care beloveds.

BONADRAG

Bonadrag just has that minimalist, super cool gal aesthetic that I want more of in my wardrobe. They carry amazing jewelry and accessories that are one of a kind. I also love their heavy doses of some of my favorite brands from Rachel Comey, Maryam Nassir Zadeh, ALIX, Nomia and more. I’ve actually learned of quite a few new indie brands just from perusing this site.

LOÉIL

I’m not sure how I stumbled onto this site a year ago but I’m glad I did. I’ve gotten so many gems from this website. I love every collection they drop. I only wish their shoes sizes went up to my size (cause they are so good)!

PIXIE MARKET

Now I find that most people know about Pixie. They used to have a storefront here in the Lower East Side. I think people just forget the amazingness of their inventory. Things literally sell out in hours, never to be restocked again. I shop here for tops, trendy skirts and their accessories like this double link chain necklace and these standout pearl earrings

LISA SAYS GAH

I love this site for great indie designers and the overall cool girl feel. I also love how they chronicle the style of their muses. Every now and then you can catch some cool vintage items on the website as well.

OAK + FORT

Is a new favorite. They actually have a store down in Soho on Mercer Street. I wandered in one day and have been hooked ever since on their well made, colored coded inventory. They have amazing outerwear, knits and chic yet comfy shoes for everyone. I also love their minimalist housewares.

GARMENTORY

This site has an endless supply of slip dresses. So of course I check it weekly. They also have one of a kind accessories from bags to sunglasses and jewelry. The sheer magnitude of inventory is dazzling and is sure to break you out of a style rut.

Go forth and shop beloveds. Oh, don’t forget I just dropped my So You Wanna Be a Blogger eBook, The Ultimate Guide to Blogging Successfully on my ETSY Shop. Makes sure to check it out and please share!
