It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Christmas is just around the corner and following that up is New Years Eve. I always wait until the very last minute to make New Years Eve plans. I don’t know why either. I’m so Type-A about everything else in life but when it comes to New Years Eve, I really couldn’t care less. I usually just end up tagging along with my friend Alicia with whatever debauchery she has planned for the evening. I alway have a really good time though, whether it’s dancing the night away or eating a lovely dinner and bar hopping until 6 in the morning. This year there is no shortage of fun things to get into for the holidays. If you are looking for a few good things to do, check out a few of these New Years Eve ideas and events in New York City.
MY TOP 3 RESTAURANTS FOR A MEMORABLE NYE DINNER
One year I made reservations for me and a group of my girls to have dinner at Hillstone, my favorite restaurant in the city. We all had such an amazing time, showing up in our glamorous lewks, dining on the finest cuisine in the swankiest atmosphere. I love the service at Hillstone and their mojitos are the stuff dreams are made of. Even a quiet dinner with your Beloved would do. There are 2 locations in New York City so go ahead and make those reservations. Another amazing place to cop your NYE reservations is Public Kitchen at Public Hotel in the lower east side. I’ve gone to this restaurant so many time for celebrations, they know me by name. The service and the ambience is A1 and the food is so so good. Go for their pizzas, octopus or chicken dishes then head upstairs to their amazing rooftop bar to dance the night away. Last but not least, if you are a real foodie head over to Hotel Chantelle. Which isn’t really a hotel at all but sits inside an open air room where you can look up and see the stars while dinning on THEE BEST FOOD I’VE EVER HAD. Look, I just made a reservation for my team holiday dinner because it is that good. Even the salad is good. They are also having a NYE Event so it’s a great place to eat and then turn up.

ROOF TOP VIEWS FOR NYE
There are so many gorgeous rooftops where you can ring in the New Year. The William Vale Hotel in Williamsburg has one of the best views in all of New York City at their rooftop bar and restaurant Westlight. Their NYE festivities include open bar, specialty cocktails, passed canapés, live music, and a Champagne toast at midnight. Another place to hit the rooftop scene is 50 Bowery Hotel’s The Crown Rooftop Bar. They will be hosting a New Years Eve Ball with multiple DJ’s, Champagne Toast, party favors and decor and of course the 360 degree views from the LES Skyline to view the fireworks! I already mentioned Public Kitchen for dinner but definitely consider hitting their rooftop to party afterwards. The views are stunning and the music is always on point. Their New Years Eve celebration will be one to remember.
A CLASSIC NYE EXPERIENCE
If you are looking to get dressed in your best and head out to dance the night away then there are a few exceptional parties you should check out. Innova NYE Celebration powered by Only Champions, ShorBlue Event and Krave The Band is first on the list. I can vouch for Only Champions and have attended a number of their events all year and have had nothing but stellar vibes at them all. The location in downtown Brooklyn can’t be beat and it includes a 6 hour open bar and complimentary hors D’oeuvres. 1 Life 2 Live Entertainment also puts on a great NYE Party Experience with all the best DJs and a mesmerizing atmosphere.
