It’s my favorite time of year, mid May. I love May for several reasons. For one it’s my birthday month and for two because Memorial Day is one of my favorite holidays. I love New York during Memorial Day. It’s usually hot and full of life. All of the rooftops open up and the summer parties begin. I truly love this time of year in New York City. There is no place quite like it. The city has a very different feeling because of this pandemic. The sun is shinning and the plants have bloomed and the air smells sweet and ripe but we can’t enjoy our beloved city the same way. Maybe never the same way again. But I digress, I also love this time of year because of all the amazing sales start happening. Nearly every single one of my favorite affordable, high street and designer online shops are having sales! I’m trying hard to contain myself because I’ve already been shopping like a mad woman to cope with not being able to go outside. But what the hell, I may treat myself to a piece or two.
