The Venexiana collection mixed evening wear with make up having a rock inspired undertone. The collection expressed why I just love being a woman and all that sparkles is never enough. The models hit the runway in fitted floor length gowns in blues, pinks, and greens which I found to be a revised take with evening wear. My eye’s were attracted to the extra sheen velvet’s, metallic’s, gleaming sequins, encrusted neck and arm borders and beautiful appliques strategically placed.

Each piece was a statement carrying its own defined details, whether it was with extensive beading, lovely organza, or subtle cut outs for a little bit of sass.

A very flashy in your face collection, but Katie Stern stays rooted with her overall aesthetic of clean lines and traditional shapes. Stern, typically known for her edge shows that she is glam girl at heart underneath it all. She brought elegance and romance alive in her collection, along with stunning neck lines. This collection played up the neck area making it more appealing as the gowns laid in their respectable places.

The gowns moved leisurely up the runway causing a few to stumble, only to regroup and slip back into scene so eloquently. What I loved about the show is the classic and romantic ambiance I could see and feel. The dresses are a sight to see and I can expect to catch a few on the red carpet in the near future.
