caught in Charlotte’s web

Ladies…and gents…this is the moment I’ve waited for. I first saw these magical shoes when I google searched Velvet Shoes. You all know I have a serious love affair with velvet.
I debated getting these until I picked up this months Marie Claire (p. 18) and there they were.
It was an omen…and omen saying Monroe…this is your moment.
So I went to Bergdorf’s….and there they were on the 2nd floor surrounded by YSL’s and Louboutins.
I stroked them eagerly before asking the nearest salesman for my size. Returned with a size 39.5 (9.5 US)
I instantly knew they wouldn’t fit.
I left bummed…and then went to Zara.
But I ordered them 2 sizes too big a day later and they arrived today and fit perfectly!

OMFG
I can’t believe I own these. From now on they will be referred to as…”My Babies
These will not be worn on the streets of New York but from car to doorstep ONLY!
and NO…these aint no fashion Steele! lol
This is the first luxury item I have ever gotten myself in life.
They cost more than my flat screen and couch put together.
I did what I had to do to get them..which included getting a second part time job on top of my 40 hour job and saving for 3 weeks.
Charlotte Olympia thank you for giving me my DREAM shoe…just in time for fashion week.
6 inches of extreme velvet goodness..and a few jewels on the ankle never hurt anybody.
goodbye readers…i must go walk around my apartment in these now and irritate my downstairs neighbors.
so waddaya think?
xoxo

I love the new shoes….and I know that feeling of getting a “luxury” item. When I found those Celine wedges I wear it was amazing to pay for and take those babies home. The things we will do for a great pair of shoes. And don’t worry about them not being a steal, we work hard enough to find the steals that every once in awhile we can splurge. Enjoy them girl!!!!!

What an interesting post. It was so fun to read it. I love them. I don’t even want to know how much you paid them. As long as you are happy I guess that all that matters.

Just like you, I cannot wait for NYFW. I hope to make it in one piece.
