A Special Occasion

I went home to North Carolina this past weekend to visit my family but mostly to suprise my grandmother for her 60th Birthday Party. I told her I wouldn;t be able to make it so she wasn’t expecting me. She cried of course lol. I got to wear this great vintage thrifted dress I got a few weeks ago. Actually my entire outfit and purse is thrifted except the shoes!
My grandma was sooooooooooooo surprised!
I got this dress Here at Valley Thrift Shop for $5, got the belt Here at Beacons Closet for $15, and the blazer Here at Goodwill for $15.
I also got to see my favorite person in the world…my little cousin! She is so adorable and smart. We spent time playing one of my favorite childhood games Candyland!
Outfit
Dress: Thifted from Vally Thrift Shop $5 fashion STEELE!!!!!!
Blazer: Thifted from Goodwill
Shoes: BCBGeneration
Belt: Thifted from Beacons Closet Brooklyn
I had a great time back home. There weather was awesome. I also did a tiny bit of shopping and picked up some great pieces I can’t wait to wear once it gets a little warmer. Urban Outfitters is having such a fantastic sale! If you havent been recently run there. I miss being around my family but when I go home I always feel so loved and missed and like a super star. I really needed this mini-vacay to recharge.
What do you all do/Where do you all go to recharge???
XOXO

I knew you would look stunning! I love that dress and that belt is so cool. And your grandma looks very pretty! I love to go somewhere quiet and nature inspired when I need to recharge. Anywhere near a lake (even a small one) is ideal for me. Or you know where too? South Street Seaport! Even though it’s busy, I like to sit there on a sunny day with a smoothie or something! Hubby and I used to go there a lot.

    The dress looks beautiful 🙂
To recharge I love doing long walks with my dog, being outside in the nature (I live in a rural area) is the best thing for me to relax.

What a pretty dress. Loving that belt too. Vacations are great ways to recharge. If it’s warm enough out, I like to hang out at on my lunch break at along the Chicago River or people watch at a park on the Ave.

Love the flounce at the bottom of that dress and that you paired it with that belt and shoes! I’m off on vacation next week for some rest and relaxation and I plan to sip many a huge drink while on the beach!
