It’s beach week! Well not really but all week long I will be posting blog posts and YouTube videos all about swimwear and resort/vacation wear. After all summer is here and the best way to spend a day is socially distant at the beach. Last week my girl Rose and I drove down to Long Beach for a day of sand and sun and it was much needed. I have another Hamptons Staycation coming up soon too so stay tuned for that! Today it’s all about the most unique cover-ups like this one that I got from Shopbop to wear on my canceled birthday trip to Palm Springs. Le Sigh, but at least I got to wear it this year and I absolutely love it. Oh and I’m teaching myself how to surf! Just kidding…I borrowed this board from a friend we met on the beach. Can you imagine it, Rose and I with our bags of swimsuits and outfits caused quite a stir on Long Beach. We made a lot of friends that day who enjoyed our little beach fashion shoot. Maxi Dress Cover-Ups
My favorite kind of coverup is a maxi dress coverup especially one in a bright fun color or pattern. I think they look so chic over a nice bathing suit and give your a more demur resort look. All you need is a large hat and a pair of sunglasses to round out the look.
Sarongs
I love sarongs and often wear them around the house as loungewear. They are usually pretty light weight and the epitome of chic. If you’re looking for super colorful and conversation starter sarongs check out Mara Hoffman and Hanifa.co. Another favorite of mine when it comes to the best sarongs in neutral and cool tones is Just Bee Queen. I love their sarongs! The shape of them is very flattering and I love the fringe detailing on a lot of their sarongs.
Mini Dress Cover-Ups
Mini Dress Cover-Ups are great for those beach and pool day where you mean business. They are probably the easiest beachwear to take off and put on. My favorite mini dress cover-ups are usually wrap dresses. I like that they are easily accessible so you can get them off and get into the water with ease!
Two Piece Sets & Pants Cover Ups
Sets of every sort are trending right now and beachwear is no different. Everyone is clamoring for two piece pajamas sets, loungewear sets and fashion looks so why not carry the trend to the beach. Two piece set cover-ups are the stuff instagram vacation dreams are made of. Luckily there are some amazing choices online, most of which are affordable and some are even on sale! If you’re the type of person who needs a little more coverage then pants set cover-ups are a great way to go. I like getting very light linen or even sheer fabrics that float in the wind for maximum breathing room. There’s nothing worse than being at the beach in the hot sun with sticky sweaty legs because the fabric on your pant set cover-up doesn’t breathe. I’ve rounded up a few light weight favorites from the internets. Get them before they sell out. Oh and the bigger the pant leg, the better!

That long mesh cover-up is absolutely amazing, but all I can think of is the checkerboard sunburn I would get because this girl does not tan, only burn no matter how much sunblock I use! Your photos are beautiful and make me want to go to the beach regardless.
