3 Non-Basic Dresses to Get You Through the Holiday Season

Thanksgiving is over and done with and stores are already playing Mariah Carey’s Holiday CD on repeat. It’s officially holiday season! The next few weeks will be filled with Holiday Parties with co-workers, friends and family. Then there’s the grand finale… New Years Eve. The older I get, the more comfort matters. I like being able to actually enjoy myself and dance the night away without worrying if my feet are gonna hurt or if my dress is too tight and I can barely sit. Comfort doesn’t mean boring though. There are also many ways to do up the holidays other than the usual go-to sequin dresses (although I love those too). I like buying dresses I can wear more than once and for the past few years, I’ve always bought that one dress that can only ever be worn on New Years Eve. I’m definitely trying to spend my money a little more wisely this year and invest in pieces I can get more wear out of. These dresses are anything but basic and with a few accessories, it’s easy to turn an Every Day Dress into a Holiday Dress. I’ve teamed up with Shopbop to show you 3 non-basic dresses to get you through the Holiday Season.

I can’t lie I am a fan of sequins but these are great alternatives!

I also love sequins, but really when can you wear a sequin dress other than New Years or Christmas? It just doesn’t meld into everyday wear unless its separates (a sequin skirt or top). I do sequins every year but this year I’m definitely doing something different. Thanks for reading!

I am in love with the first dress, love the way you styled it with the hat! These are options you will definitely be wearing for years to come!

OOOHHH YAASSSSS hunneee!!! You werked all those dresses! I would wear’em all but my fave is the yellow and black one! Perfect styling by pairing it with the black booties and making it edgy with the hat. 🙂
