My friend Thomas who is a rockstar at everything he does, asked to design something for me to wear. I was absolutely flattered. No one has ever made anything especially for me. And hello, I love clothes and was certainly down to have an exclusive in my closet. So one afternoon after shooting in Soho, followed by brunching at Maman, I meet Thomas on a street corner. Yes, a street corner. We actually meet in Zara but I was a wuss and didn’t feel like getting kicked out of the dressing room for doing a full fledge fitting in there. So we hit up Spring street instead and in between cars and behind a bush, I had my first fitting. Good thing I was
wearing a dress which made the ordeal that much easier. Thomas is a pro though and it took all of 10 minutes to get the correct measurements and make some tiny adjustments to this slip dress. Yes, it’s a slip dress but I like to call it The Naked Dress. You know, Carrie had one in Sex and the City and damnit now I have one too. Mainly because the silk is so smooth against my skin, I barely feel like I have anything on. And when the wind blows and i have a nip slip, I can never tell because i already feel naked anyway. Then there’s the color, damn near a perfect match to my skin. I told Thomas I need this dress in every color from his line Tom Anderson.

Today is officially Day 3 of fashion week but Day 2 for me because yesterday I stayed home catching up on some projects. I have a pretty cool event coming up tomorrow that you’ll soon know everything about. My partner and I had to put some finishing touches on things but keep an eye on my instastories for details. I am super excited because today I am going to the best show ever, Tibi. I don’t know if you know but I am a HUGE Tibi fan. I absolutely adore Amy Smilovic. She’s the designer behind the brand and she just has an amazing eye and almost sixth sense of what’s going to be hot. I’ve dropped plenty a coin on her unique and interesting designs for the modern millennial woman. Like this silk dress that I could practically get married in and this jumpsuit that I dreamt about for months and stalked until it finally went on sale. Then there’s this striped skirt I found after it sold out and who can forget about this satin orange number. Then my fringe flats and mules both of which I snagged on The Real Real. Did y’all catch the amazing Balenciaga boots I got from The Real Real this week? I got I also indulged during the Labor Day Sales and copped this silk off the shoulder blouse.

I’m also looking forward to kicking it with my good friend Micaéla for a special instagram brunch! Make sure to head on over to my Instastories for all the details on my Day 2 of New York Fashion Week.
