Holiday Outfit Ideas and the Best Black Friday Sales

DSC07580

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. I’m spending the day on the couch, shopping all the latest Holiday, Black Friday Sales and Cyber sales while binge watching Jessica Jones and FaceTiming with my family in North Carolina. Don’t worry, I have an invitation to a Thanksgiving feast this evening with my boyfriend and I am resting my stomach until then. I love the holidays. Thanksgiving is my favorite because I love food but its also the time to dress up! Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years prompt many a holiday party either with work or friends & family. It’s the perfect time to pull out that piece that you never have an occasion for wearing. It’s also the perfect time to shop all the amazing holiday sales and get the pieces you’ve coveted for months but the price tag kept you from splurging. It’s also gift shopping time and I’m looking into the best gifts for my guy! Late November until the end of the year is Prime Sales Time and I will be indulging in some cyber and sample sale retail therapy to acquire a few items on my lust list.

For the holidays I love a great skirt. Sure, it’s probably a little cold outside but there is just something about a skirt that makes me feel sophisticated and polished.  I like that I can still move around if I need to and beat someone in a dancing contest. Plus, hopefully you’ll be spending the holidays indoors next to a warm fire or with heat and hot water included. When it comes to dressing for the holidays and holiday parties, keep it fun and festive. I usually never take the weather into account and always wear pieces that can be easily taken off for when it gets too hot during that game of Twister or when you need to pop the button on that pair of leather pants from being too full from delicious stuffing. I find the best holiday outfit to be a skirt/top/jacket or a pants/top/jacket situation. Dresses are awesome but they can be a hassle especially when eating (no one needs to see my food baby) and dancing and what good holiday party doesn’t come with the two?!? And I always go for a dramatic red lip for the finishing holiday outfit touch. I find that Stila Fiery or MAC Ruby Woo works perfectly for every skin tone. Nothing says, Hello I’ve arrived to rock this Holiday like a bold red lip.

As far as working my fingers to the bone to get all the items I want on my wish list, I’ll be periodically stalking: the Net-a-Porter 50% Off Sale for shoes, Moda Operandi 50% Off Sale (patiently waiting for these Proenza Schouler’s to go on sale, Rachel Comey (because I need this skirt and I plan on stalking their sample sale next week to get more), Tibi (because I’m obsessed with this dress and generally everything Tibi), The Sophia Webster sample sale for AMAZING and UNIQUE Shoes (that I already reserved my time slot for), Shoe Scribe for their up to 40% off sale with extra 25% Off using code CYBER15, YOOX for 25% off everything and 30% off if you use their app for your purchase,  Saks 5th Avenue for their awesome 60% Off Sale and Barneys.com for their 40% off Sale to collect on designer shoes and clothing, The Bergdorfs 40% Off designer sale is sure to be popping and lastly the ZARA sale with 30% Off the ENTIRE COLLECTION. If you are a die hard fan of a brand with a boutique like Proenza Schouler, most boutiques are having their Pre-Sales now and you can call or walk in and get a significant discount off items before the sale goes public.

Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and get all the fashion STEELE’s this Sale’s Season.

xx
