I once tweeted that I just want to make enough money to buy Balmain and Balenciaga. Well, beloveds, the time is here. I am making more money but I am still a thrifter and bargain hunter at heart. It’s something about the thrill of the find. And this is definitely one of the best fashion STEELE’s of the year.

I use to have a ton of free time to pop into my favorite designer consignment shops along Madison Ave in the Upper East Side. In fact I was in the neighborhood every other day last year and was known by name. But since starting a new job, in my very own clinic, I have less free time to peruse and lately I can only make it down right after work on a Friday. Which happens about once a month now.
I’m so glad I made the trip a few weeks ago to Encore Resale! I went straight for the skirts and couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this beauty for $140 dollars. I prayed to every God that it would fit, and it did! I even snapped it on my snap chat ( @monroesteele )! To my surprise when I went to check out it was marked down even more! So I ended up paying around $115 for it. I LOVE IT. It’s something about the stitching, material and craftsmanship that I find divine. I can’t believe someone wanted to rid themselves of this gem.
Goes to show, one woman’s trash…is another woman’s B is for Balenciaga.
