The well dressed man is always a breath taker and seems to be why I adore female menswear designer, Joyce Darkoh. I fell in love with her spin on the male exterior three seasons ago and haven’t been let down by her vision, yet. Each season she has shown me why a women is just as suited to dress “the man.” On the opening night on NYFW I was so delighted that Darkoh was first on my list as I was anticipating some of the yummy pairings and details she was going to unveil.
The runway at Studio 450 was graced with enriched edible cinnamon hues and earth tones, paired with an excessive appetite for plaid, done with perfection. A very warm collection that reminded me of autumn which gave a very classic prep undertone. The bold prints spoke volumes as the clean lines and well tailored jackets toned and defined the structured silhouettes.

As Darkoh does, she never seems to ever miss the wow factor. The fitted, two toned cinnamon and black woven turned heads as it strutted down the runway . Seeing it was a no brainier detail that had a great stylish feel and look, masculine but soft and yes it was a winner. I instantly curated a skinny, Darkoh woven, faux fur and oxford in my head that will be worn in the near future. My second favorite of the show was the cinnamon colored brocade tuxedo, which came alive on the runway. It was definitely a work of art that will add a subtle flair to the black tie event.

The Darkoh 2015 collection was a must see and aids in defining the well dressed man.
