I got this skirt last year at the first Derek Lam sample sale I went to. I’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to wear it ever since. I took it with me to Paris recently to wear but never got around to it. I love that it’s both black and white and two different fabrics as well.

When wearing the black and white trend its best to just have fun with it and not to take it too seriously. Those holiday parties and events are the best time to do a little experimenting with this fun and easy fashion trend. I love this sweater from Pixie Market. It has sold out 3 times before I finally had the chance to buy it! I’ve been a long time fan of collecting shoes like these Proenza Schouler checkered sandals to wear when I’m rocking a black and white ensemble.
2014 was definitely a huge year for this trend as well with black and white dominating the summer and spring collections.
