Top 5 Fashion Trends of 2021 and my Picks for Each

If you’ve been paying close enough to the runways or better yet instagram you can already see what’s going to be big and trending for 2021. I’ve already hopped on a few bandwagons and started buying a few trends pieces to test out while their currently on sale. Fashion is cyclical so a lot of these trends you probably already have in your closet but if not I’ve scoured the inter webs and found the best of the best of these trends for you. I’m also showing you what trends of 2021 I’ve already bought this year and that I’m currently loving. Make sure to bookmark and share this post if you care! Oh and if you wanna see what I already bought from the Black Friday Sales, including what I bought from Black Owned Businesses head on over to this post (some of these sales are still going on).

TALL CHUNKY BOOTS

Tall chunky..slightly ugly, space walk looking boots seem to be having a moment. I’m testing the trend out with these Gia Couture boots and I actually love them. The great thing about this trend is you can find it at every price point to test out. Sites like Nasty Gal have a slew of chunky combats boots that are currently on sale. FRINGE

Fringe is making a huge come back for 2021 and I’m here for it. Prada and their stunning fringe skirts, Saint Laurent and their stunning fringe jackets…I’m here for it all. I’ve actually just bought my very first fringe trench coat from the All Saints Cyber Monday sale and I can’t wait to get it! I’m also thinking of getting a shorter version to rock with denim cutoffs, a chunky sweater and thigh high boots.

Anything Bottega Veneta

This was already one of the hottest brands of 2019 and 2020 and I forsee it getting hotter and hotter. The latest collection just dropped and things are already flying off the shelf. I even reserved these stunning brown sandals on pre-order and can’t wait to get them in 2 months. Bottega is now making some of their best selling bags and shoes in new and exciting color ways and fabrics and the fashion girls are gonna eat it up. Go ahead and get your pre-orders on. Don’t get left off the bandwagon.

Platform Sandals

The 70s are back beloveds and I for one and here for it. Platforms are probably the biggest shoe trend of 2021. Every brand high and low are dishing out super chunky high platform sandals. Stilettos are out and comfort with and height are in. I’ve already bought 2 new pair of platforms from these gold lamé Giuseppe Zanotti’s to these brown suede Gianvito Rossi’s. The great thing about this trend is it spans from high to low with price points and still maintains the quality.

Elevated Loungewear

Welp, for now we still in the house but hopefully in 2021 we can go back outside and I predict we will still wanna chill when we do. So loungewear that can easily transition from the couch to the streets and still be a look is where it will be. I’ve already done a full post on how to go about elevated your loungewear with a few key pieces here so make sure to check that out.

Thanks for sharing sis. I love the Gia boots so much! I want to purchase another pair of combat boots and a pair of bone colored booties as part of my Christmas gift to myself! Can’t seem to make up mind what brand.
