I’m not rich, I just know how to shop — My Favorite Online Consignment Shops

IMG_3204

Yes, I have several pairs of designers shoes that are priced in the thousands of dollars. I’ve also never paid for a pair of designer shoes full price. Except for these, but they don’t count because I had a $200 coupon and got $30 back by buying them through a Reward Style link for myself. (That’s one of the ways I make money on my own purchases). I am not rich. This space ain’t called Fashion Steele for nothing! I’m always looking for the deal, the coupon code, the sales, the promotion, the luxury layaway plan. That goes for all aspects of my life, not just fashion. Here are a few of my favorite Online Consignment and secondhand shops listed below.

The Real Real

Here’s $25 to Shop at The Real Real
The Real Real is my favorite place of designer shoes. If you wanna see what I’ve scored there take a look at these Marco de Vincenzo mules, these Stella McCartney Boots, these Balenciaga boots that everyone loves so much (retails $1015, bought them for $300) and these Tibi Mules. I also consign a lot of gently used designer shoes and clothing and usually get a few hundred dollars every 2-3 months from consigning 10+ items. It’s also worth noting that they come and pick the goods up from you! They always have a great sale going on usually 20% off daily with a code listed on their site. It’s worth it to check them out everyday because they add items daily. My favorite section is The Editors Picks and of course the shoes! Oh, not only do they sell consignment items, they sell overstock from major stores like Saks. Most of my items are brand new and up to 70% Off retail. Here’s $25 to Shop at The Real Real.

Poshmark
Poshmark is where bloggers and savvy women worldwide sell their gently used clothing, shoes and accessories. I could spend hours shopping on Poshmark. The cool thing is that you can counter offer on the price listed until you reach a deal. It’s always easy to sell on Poshmark. I have a steady small stream of income from selling my gently used fashions. I got one of my favorite vintage Louis Vuitton bags from Poshmark and loved the site ever since.

Vestiaire Collective
Vestiaire Collective is another wonderful online consignment shop where you can buy and sell designer merchandise. I love them for bags and shoes. You kind of have to really dig for the good stuff but it’s totally worth it for the major discounts you can score.

Tradesy
Tradesy is a hot spot for bloggers and influencers and just all around fashionable people to sell their designer goods. I love the collection of designer bags and that they have a complete section dedicated to sales. They also have a wonderful section dedicated to weddings and maternity wear if that’s your jam.

VillageLuxe
VillageLuxe is my new favorite site! It’s like Rent the Runway but more exclusive. You actually have to apply to be a member but it’s completely free. I love this site for renting really exclusive designer gear from runway pieces to couture for a special occasion. Many of the renters are socialites, NYC stylists and fashionista’s. I have my eye on a pair of Balenciaga boots I plan to rent for just $50 a week for New York Fashion Week.

Moda Operandi
Moda Operandi is by no means a consignment shop. It’s basically layaway for luxury runway pieces. The site has a number of trunk shows every day by different designers. You pay half up front and the other half when the item is produced and shipped 2-3 months later. It’s how I acquired this Stella Jean Skirt which was a birthday gift to myself and a few other items from shoes to accessories. It’s definitely worth it because you’ll be the first to have that item of the season and you’ll have ample time to pay.

Happy Shopping Beloveds!
