Look I have a gift when it comes to shopping period. I am the best online and brick and mortar shopper that you will ever meet. I say this because I know it to be true. Gifts for the Fashion Forward Woman

I always go with a gift card (an online gift card is even better) for the fashionista. It can be a little tricky to shop for this type of woman because she already knows what she wants and her style is usually very specific (which means it’s easy for you to get it wrong). I always tell people never to buy me clothing. EVER. I’m simply too picky. I’d go for a gift card to ASOS (they let you choose the design and amount and you can simply email it to the recipient) a gift card to Shopbop (which has an amazing gift selection as well as designer clothing) or go big and get them a yearly subscription to The Real Real ($10 billed every month). The Real Real is a huge online consignment shop with AMAZING designer deals and with a subscription you get to see the items that arrive online FIRST (First Look Subscription), giving you a better chance of securing it. Speaking of subscriptions, go for yearly magazine subscriptions to my favs like Porter Magazine and Kinfolk Magazine.

Gifts for the Ultra-fit, Self Care Loving, Vegan, #BlackLivesMatter, Naturalista in Your Life

So many people over the last year have gotten super health conscious, hair conscious and woke. Nothing wrong with that. I find that books pertaining to any of the above are wonderful gifts as well as catchy screen print hoodies (Very Black anyone) to custom sweatshirts with political labels that are thought provoking and support black business. For the Ultra-fit gal anything from Six:02 should do the trick from fashionable running sneakers in all precious metal colors to the perfect workout tights. A gift card to Whole Foods goes a long way too for just about every label I listed above (they also have online gift cards!). For the Naturalista go for beautifully printed head wraps for those days she wants to go while her twist out waits to be released or get her some Zero Drama Clipins to help amp up her fro. Oh and any book by Jen Sincero, from You are a Baddass How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life, to You Are A Baddass at Making Money is a win win win for the self care junkie.

Gifts for the Technology Freak
who already owns the iPhone X

I had the pleasure of dating a tech freak for a year and in that time I acquired a Nespresso Machine, an X-Box with remote (that I use solely for streaming Hulu & Netflix and the occasional game of Tomb Raider), a Kindle (which a barely ever use because I like physical books), a Motorola Moto bluetooth cube to stream music, and a winter coat that warms itself from the inside. Ha just kidding about the coat, but it’s still pretty warm. What I learned from him was that I was severely tech deficient. I am still pretty deficient, but my experience with him has taught me what techies like….The Latest and Greatest of Everything. (Hope you got your stacks on deck, cause techie gifts are usually expensive). Think marble iPhone cases (use code: USFALL for 20% Off), the best vlog camera ever, wireless headphones and a Google Assistant to turn off the lights for you and tell you what the weather is.

Gifts for the Special Man in Your Life

This is pretty easy if the man is like most men; simple and easy to please. Get him anything but underwear, socks (unless they’re Calvins) and ties (unless they’re Brooks Brothers) and he’ll be happy. But for the more refined man go for something unordinary. Men love to feel intrinsically unique and like they have something special no one else has, or something rare. I love giving men grooming products, something useful like grooming sets, a badass pocket knife, a cool duffle bag from Solo New York (I love the All-Star duffle) or a vintage lighter if he’s 420 friendly. And just because I love Le Labo, any man that smells like Santal 33 is worth marrying. It’s really all about tailoring it to what you know he’ll love.

Gifts for the Fake Interior Decorator
who’s always giving you unsolicited decor advice

There is always that one friend who would be an interior designer if they weren’t…well doing whatever it is that they do. They know all the modern furniture makers by name and the best place to get a succulent. Speaking of succulents, they are perfect gifts! Anything from CB2, West Elm and Crate & Barrel will be a hit; like this plexi tray to display coffee table books and these floating bookshelves from The Container Store. Speaking of great coffee table books get into this series from Kinfolk: Entrepreneur, Table & Home. I always check out the Urban Outfitters Home section for amazing comforters, throws and pillows. Don’t skimp on a set of candles too, these from WoodWick are great because they crackle like a fireplace. Oh and a gift card to Artifact Rising where they can get photos printed online and shipped to their home to hang, works well too.

Gifts for the Food Snob
you know the one that makes their own matcha lattes and organic pies from scratch

Speaking of matcha lattes, how cool is this matcha latte maker set that comes with a book of a million ways to use matcha. Go for it! Food snobs usually love gourmet things so a fancy Nespresso Machine will be a hit (just make sure they have ample counter space). I also love to go for table goods like these slate coasters (you know you can’t sit your cup down on the table with a food snob, they are usually a decor snob as well). Food snobs love wine glasses, tea kettles and the best in cookware. Oh they love food too, so a subscription to Blue Apron would make you their favorite person ever and they’d probably cook for you too.

Gifts for YOURSELF
cause there is no way in hell you’re not buying yourself something while shopping for everyone else, this is purely a list of things I want to buy myself

[aesop_content color=”#ffffff” background=”#feffff” columns=”2″ position=”none” imgrepeat=”no-repeat” floaterposition=”left” floaterdirection=”up” revealfx=”off” overlay_revealfx=”off”]So I have a slew of things I want to buy myself starting with these Chanel Boots that cost a months rent, but somehow, some way mamas gone own these by December 31st (this is how manifesting works beloveds). I also want this Gucci Fanny Pack. I know I know, all the stuff I want is EXPENSIVE. I’m also really into these marble book ends because I have so many books and love the look of these. I really want this set of Marble Suitcases too. I just got a subscription to Kinfolk Magazine as well because it’s officially my favorite.

I was going crazy over this faux fur and bought it a few days ago. I also recently bought myself this humidifier which has blessed my entire existence since the heat in my apartment is set to hell thanks to the radiators I can’t control. I also bought this little glass jewelry case because my jewelry should be seen and it makes it easier to know where everything is. I also bought this faux fur from Zara and I want these Mango boots but they sold out in my size.
