PureWow in the Hamptons with Shea Moisture

This past Saturday, I got invited to the most epic event I’ve ever been to! I’ve lived in New York for 10+ years and I’ve never been to the Hamptons but thanks to Shea Moisture, I was invited to the Purewow in the Hamptons event. I had thee time of my life! The house in the Hamptons was nothing short of amazing. It’s actually the house from the TV show Billions! The pool and outdoor area was filled with tons of vendors from Shea Moisture to Andie Swimwear that could be embroidered by Janis Embroidery. Shea Moisture had a cool braid bar and also showcased some of their makeup line from their vegan lip balms (I’m especially excited about the African Water Mint & Ginger Shea Butter Balm) as well as their large lipstick pencils in red, pink and nude. I also finally stocked up on my favorite Shea Moisture product which is the Head-To-Toe 100% Extra Virgin Coconut Oil. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this oil for helping to remove buildup after protective styling. It’s literally like magic the way it cleans the base of your braids and twists and helps to detangle. In addition to the Beauty Room, there was also a wonderful bouquet making station from It’s By U. I’m a sucker for a great bouquet and my wonderful arrangement is currently in plain sight adding a little beauty and the scent of white roses to my living room. Other vendors included Sio Beauty who gave us the opportunity to take photos and get a real look at the damage of our skin followed by a consultation on skincare.

There was a performance by singer Alessia Cara that has one of the hottest songs Stay out right now. And just when you think this party couldn’t get any better, there was a synchronized swim performance by The Aqua Lillies. I’ve actually never seen synchronized swimming in real life and I must say, I wish I could look that good diving in and out of a pool in full makeup. These women were amazing. I spent the afternoon visiting the various vendors and eating a delicious lunch. That was followed by eating more delicious snacks from lobster rolls to ice-cream sandwiches made with freshly baked cookies. There was even a candy bar from Sugarfina. I had a wonderful time and the main highlight was all of the amazing people that I had the opportunity to meet. A lot of which are bloggers as well. It’s such an experience to be in a place with a group of people who all share a passion for creativity. Purewow really outdid themselves with this event.

This event was also for a wonderful cause and that’s Sing for Hope. Throughout the event space there were a few piano’s that had been painted and decorated. They were all uniquely different and beautiful and throughout the event every now and then someone would sit down a play a little something. Sing For Hope’s aim is to bring the arts visually and musically to schools, hospitals, hospices, veteran’s centers, after school programs, neighborhood centers, nursing homes and disability networks. They do this by having artists paint piano’s or create something artistically with the piano’s and then they are refurbished, tuned and delivered to the above places for the enjoyment of the people. To date Sing for Hope has partnered with over 3500 artists and placed over 330 artist-created Sing for Hope Piano’s throughout NYC’s parks and public spaces. They are currently looking to raise funds to tune and deliver piano’s into the school systems so make sure to check them out and donate whatever you can.

I hope you had a chance to check out my instastories for this event and if not I’ll be posting a video soon on my Youtube Channel.

Huge thanks to Shea Moisture for inviting me.

I love this whole look. The jumpsuit is so hot and the entire look is worth emulating. Xo

Thanks so much Nenette. I’d been eyeing this Tibi Jumper for the longest and when it went on sale I just jumped at it!
