Ramones & Red Leather Pencil Skirt
GET THE LOOK
My Spring Uniform will consist of vintage rocker t-shirts and skirts. I must admit I love a good rocker tee that you can wear with just about everything for a touch of badass to any look. If you’ve followed this blog long enough you probably know that I don’t care for the color red, or pink (I know I’m a bad little Alpha Kappa Alpha). But recently something changed in regards to the color red for me. For some reason, I’m just not as opposed to it anymore. Perhaps because of this stunning red ruffle dress that I just had to have for my trip to Havana Cuba or maybe because I’ve seen too many fashion editors and bloggers rocking these red vinyl pants (that I plan on buying as well). Either way, I don’t think red is so bad. So now I have exactly 2 red pieces in my entire wardrobe. This faux red leather pencil skirt that I impulsively bought from Zara during fashion week, and the aforementioned red dress. A Ramones Tee goes a long way and I needed one after seeing Tracee Ellis Ross in hers on Blackish.
Can you believe these photos were taken almost 3 weeks ago when the weather was like 70s in February? Looks like the North East is getting hit with a cold front for the next week with temperatures mostly in the 30s. I HATE THIS PLACE (in winter). It really hasn’t been that bad so I can’t complain too much but there is just no looking cute when it’s 20s and the wind is touching down on your exposed scalp. Luckily I still have a few Winter looks I can squeeze in for the remainder of March. Can you believe it? Me, with Winter Looks?!? I know I’m changing. I’m actually posting outfits this winter and buying red items. If I buy a pink item, someone please check on me cause somethings not right. But all these cold weekends trapped in the house give me ample opportunities to plan hot beach vacations in Mexico.
