There is something about wearing silk in the winter that thrills me. I love the juxtaposition of silky shiny material against the stark, cold, concrete, barrenness of New York City in the winter. I already rocked my silk dress a few days ago and now it’s this Tibi skirt. I love the cut of the skirt. It’s so unique and the color screams any other season but winter, which is why I think its the perfect time to wear it. This is a piece that can be worn in any season. In winter with a boot and in summer with a mule. It’s definitely one of the best investment pieces I’ve made this year!

It looks like the weather has gotten back to normal February weather here in NYC but that shouldn’t stop you from rocking your silks your round. I’m super excited because I won an instagram contest for a staycation here in NYC! I can’t wait. I’ve been needing a little time to unwind and pamper myself and this comes at the perfect time. I would definitely love to do more hotel reviews but more than that I just want to get to know this amazing city I’ve living in for 10 years. There’s always something new, a new art exhibit, a new restaurant or event. It’s really what I love most about living here in New York City. But I’m really excited to experience LA! I’ll be visiting for the first time in a few months and I can’t wait.
