The Cold Shoulder Sweater

IMG_0063

The off the shoulder top has always been a staple for me. I love it because I have very broad shoulders and that look somehow takes away from that and makes me look more proportional. I also just love the look. I think its a subtle way to still show some skin even in the coldest months of the year. There are so many off the shoulder tops that have taken off and extending this trend to sweaters was a no brainer. I love the cut outs not this sweater from Zaful.com for less than $20!

I love it when I find things in my closet. I was rummaging through my winter clothes bin when I came across this faux leather skirt that I’ve only worn once or twice. It was a fashion Steele from Loehmann’s a few years ago. Loehmann’s used to be my joint! I was so sad when they closed their stores and went online only. It seems like it’s happening a lot with designer for less department stores. I think in a few more years none of those stores will exist. Online stores have taken over when it comes to getting those deep discount on designer items. Designers themselves also hold biannual sales and sample sales too. Speaking of which, Tibi is having a sample sale until January 26th at the Wooster St location. I will definitely be dropping by and seeing what they have. I have a certain dress in mind that I’d love to acquire.

I’m packing for my trip to Cuba and I’m leaving very soon. I’m super excited and can’t wait to share everything I learn with everyone. I am very well aware that many of you have already gone or are traveling there soon, so I will try my best to get a guide out as soon as I return. Don’t forget you can also shop your own closet and if you still need something new, hit up the end of season sales from Net-a-Porter to Barney’s Warehouse.

Can you tell me what the name of the shoes are or where did you get them? I would love to buy a pair but I can’t find them anywhere. Thanks so much.
