Parrot earrings and ruffle sleeves

When I had my marley twist in, earrings were always lost in them, or tangled in them. This led me to wear only very smalls studs most of the time and a simple dangling earring for special occasions. But now that I’ve been rocking my natural hair out mostly in an afro, I can’t get enough of statement earrings. I had the best night last night! I went to the Saint Heron Proclamation Party in Brooklyn. Saint Heron is basically a movement by Solange Knowles bringing together all kinds of delicious talent from artists to designers and musicians and just all around creatives. They also have a pretty dope clothing line with C/Meo clothing too (one of my favorite Aussie brands). The party was a blast, the DJ was rocking and honestly I haven’t partied on a Sunday like that since…I can’t even remember. Hurry and catch it on my snapchat: Monroesteele before it’s gone. I was definitely feeling it this morning though when I had to get up for work. Thank God for my Nepresso Machine and the two gummy vitamins I took after drinking my coffee in 3 gulps flat.

I actually wore these Proenza Mules to the party and Armina Mussa herself told me she loved them. I also finally met Deray from Twitter and he was so gracious and nice. Any who, it was an awesome time with amazing people and I will definitely be at the next one.
