Brunching in NYC

IMG_5206

The last two weeks have been a whirlwind of crazy and I basically took a few weeks off to recalibrate and live life. I had an amazing New Years Eve with friends. We went to my favorite restaurant Hillstone for a dinner for 9 and then moved on to drinks at a lovely restaurant bar and then over to Williamsburg for dancing the night away into 2015. Since New Years I’ve been brunching like crazy. I wore this outfit this past Saturday for a brunch at Essex Restaurant.

I am the brunch Queen. For brunching in Harlem I love Il Caffe Latte which has two locations ( Lenox and then 145th St). I actually love the 145th Street location better because its so cozy and intimate being set in an old brownstone. I always get a chai tea latte and a freshly baked croissant with jam. Then there’s downtown…and I love Friend of a Farmer for a delish brunch with fresh ingredients. I love the country atmosphere too because it reminds me of home. Sit upstairs for the best experience and order the basket of breads! Further downtown in the LES on Essex St is Essex Restaurant and I love their brunch because its a healthy portion of real food. I got the Deep South this time around which came with Chicken Fried Steak, eggs and gravy! Sooooo good. After brunch we walked over to Son’s of Essex where there was a live brunch party happening.

The best thing to do when planning a brunch experience in NYC is to download the OpenTable App. It’s saved my life on many an occasion and you gain points and can end up with a free meal.
