Karen Walker is always another favorite of mine during New York Fashion Week. Karen Walker is well known for making some of the most iconic eyewear but her collections of clothing are making some noise all on their own. Karen Walker’s fashion shows are always like a reunion of who’s who is fashion. All of the major fashion bloggers are always there, from Margaret Zhang of Shine by Three to Leandra Medine of Man Repeller and Athena Calderone of Eye Swoon. As always Mrs. Jay from ANTM was front row as well.I loved how relaxed the Karen Walker Fall 2014 collection is and the ease that whole looks can transition into the streets. The footwear was pretty unique as well. I sense a trend happening with platform brogues and flats in metallics. There were lots of A line full skirts which I love for fall as well as prints in black and white as well as a lovely floral pattern with burgundys, browns and greens. I also can get enough of the printed screen print sweat shirt. The collection is a celebration of the Suffragette and is meant to be modern and a rejection of traditional prettiness. These women are marching along strong and comfortable and nothing is more sexy than that. I loved the music as well. It tied in nicely with the theme of the collection.
So what of you think of Karen Walker Fall 2014?
