I’m sure you’ve seen in on my Instagram but I was recently in my happy place, Tulum, Mexico. A little beach town in Riviera Maya with crystal clear waters and the freshest food. Where the only noise you hear in the morning or even late at night are the sounds of the birds and insects. It was a refreshing getaway for my 35th birthday trip with my girls! Whew, I’m back in New York and totally refreshed. You all were really interested in my Tulum, Mexico Wardrobe so here’s everything I wore and a few extras perfect for any Mexico Vacation!
– BATHING SUITS –
My new favorite brand for bathing suits is Hunza G. I love the light weight crinkle fabric. It’s super comfortable and form fitting. Their suits are one size fits all and I find that they work best for sizes 4-8. They have tons of stretch and look amazing on.
– JEWELRY-
I love bold yet simplistic statement pieces for Beach Travel. Gold works so well on my skin on warm weather travels. I also love incorporating raffia and shells so in a way I’m wearing the beach! A good anklet and chain necklace go a long way. My favorite jewelry brand at the moment is Brinker & Eliza. They are killing it and the price points are amazing. I also love Cult Gaia for their wooden jewelry from bangles to earrings.
– ACCESSORIES –
The perfect beach vacation calls for the perfect carry all bag, sunglasses and hat to keep the sun at bay. These were my go-to’s while in Mexico.
– SHOES –
I still love the look of a heel on vacation. Sometimes it’s not practical and a chic flat or sandals will do for the breach and for the jungle hikes to those hidden cenotes or ancient Tulum ruins. I like to keep a good kitten heel of under 2 inch heel for those nights out for an exquisite sea side dinner or night of dancing to live music on Tulum’s Beach strip.
– CLOTHING –
Mexico is really hot and humid so clothing that breathes is essential. Don’t even think about packing denim of polyester pieces or you will sweat profusely. Aim to pack as little as possible meaning your clothing choices should be light, think: cottons, linens and a few super light satin and silk pieces that can easily be hand washed and hung out to dry.
Happy Shopping!
