Life is short…buy the shoes and eat cake too

So I have been literally been stalking these Chanel Pearl Mules since they bursts on the scene 2 years ago. Yes, it’s been that long. I usually don’t have too much of an issue finding shoes in my size that are true American sizing, but unfortunately I love luxury shoes, most of which are made in Italy where sizing can be pretty tricky. All designer shoe brands run  differently when it comes to sizing so it’s imperative to try the shoes on before your purchase to avoid returns and disappointment, especially when you have large feet like mine. I am a US women’s size 10 which equates to either a 41 (size 11 IT) – 41.5 (size 11.5 IT). Any who, I’d stalked these shoes for years and finally was able to find them in my size at Bergdorf Goodman. I couldn’t resist and finally bit the bullet and got them. It’s funny, I’ve had these shoes pinned to my vision board for a full year and I finally own them.

[one_half padding=”0 15px 0 0″]It’s funny how putting things on your vision board and seeing it everyday, (even if it’s subconsciously) can help you to manifest the things you want and need in your life. I mean, I know it’s just shoes, but damnit if I don’t love these shoes and all the hard work and dedication that they represent. The older I get the more I realize that life is way too short to deprive yourself of the things that bring you joy. For me that’s a crispy new pair of designer sandals, a cup of hazelnut creamer with a splash of nespresso coffee every morning, a freshly baked croissant loaded with the finest butter, a plane ticket to Morocco, or Paris or Mexico, a glass of Barefoot Merlot every single evening and yes a big ass slice of cheese cake too. It’s essential to get a little, or hell a lot, of joy out of this life thing because it goes by pretty quickly.[/one_half][one_half_last padding=”0 0 0 15px”]This way of thinking has also helped me to stop judging others for any decisions that they make in life. I’m happy to offer my advice on different things from business, to life and love but that’s only based on my own experience. We are all creating this motion picture of life for ourselves and we all perceive experiences differently. I think the goal is to find and hold on to joy and happiness the best way you can. I often find that deprivation leads to desperation. Keep that in mind the next time you really want something but convince yourself that you don’t need it. Sometimes it’s the things we want that matter. Those are the things that feed that subconscious part of our being. Also, if it’s a pair of designer shoes you desire, please note that money comes and goes, but some shoes are only made for one season. [/one_half_last]

Hooray for your new shoes! I like to look at purchases like that as a reflection of hard work and dedication as well. Wear them in great health!
