Mod

I thrifted this dress about 2 years ago and I’d never worn it until now! I even had it tailored. It used to be longer. I wanted to make it into a mini dress and that’s what I did. It actually cost more to alter the dress than I paid for the dress…which was about $5. I really love the pattern and its just so Mod!

Outfit
Dress: Thrifted see another of my favorite vintage lace dress HERE!!!!!
Tights: American Apparel
Shoes: Jessica Simpson Dany Platform
Earrings: Random African Shop on 125th St
I really love the pattern on the dress and thought it’d go perfectly with my Jessica Simpson Platforms. We had a little snow Monday but most of it is gone now..YAY! I hope that groundhog was right because this Winter has been brutal! I’ve been spending like a true shopaholic and been eating chocolate chip cookies for dinner. I know I know, I should treat my wallet and tummy kinder but I’m just failing miserably at keeping a budget. At least its only thrifting…you know $17 dollars here $20 dollars there and I end up with 8 new outfits. LOL.
So technically I’m saving in the long run…right? (My logic is Undeniable: Quote from iRobot)
Today was a great day. I did a little thrifting, ate the best penne alla vodka I’ve ever had in my life (mouth orgasm!!!), then worked a half day! Tonight we are celebrating my good friend Kenecia’s birthday at a new bar Aloft XYZ in Harlem. Can’t wait to pop some bottles.
What do you all think of this dress?
XOXO
Monroe

Lovely dress and you made the right choice to make it short. I believe that dresses like that (with conservative tops) should be kept short so they are more feminine. It gives me the chills to see you dressed like that in the snow though, brrrr! xxx

Hehehe re: taking 2 hours to make those links. Same here…freakin frustrating! Love the dress and I’m all on board about the little spending here and there…doesn’t really count if it’s below $50! (at least that’s the story I’m sticking to)! Thank the gods, Jersey didn’t get much snow so whoo hoo. The ground is again visible since the yucky snow is disapearing!
